Update from the President

Dear Friend,

Mother’s Day and Father’s Day are quickly approaching. I have a renewed perspective on these holidays this year. Our partner in Myanmar, Lian, said he and the children in care had a special request of me.

The request was, “Can we call you Mama Brooks?”

I said, “Of course!” Since then, our relationship has grown and flourished. Though we are separated by many miles, I consider them children of the heart. Because of that, I view them with the heart of love that I would show my own children.

With 783 children in care, it is obviously a role I cannot accomplish alone. That is why I am inviting you to consider becoming a spiritual parent and support children in our care.

We have many new opportunities coming through Baptist Children’s Home. I am so excited to share about our new mission in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Please read more about that on page 4. The number of the children in our hearts is growing. When you see their pictures and hear their stories, you will understand why we want to grow this ministry and care for many children who need homes and families.

Your support makes all this possible, and I am so grateful to you on behalf of our BCH family, and the many children we care about throughout the world.
