Nathan and Rebekah are both from Indiana and met on the first day of Welcome Weekend at Grace College. After graduation in June of 2015, the two were married in Nathan’s hometown, Crawfordsville, Indiana.  They lived in Warsaw, Indiana and then moved to Crawfordsville before beginning their work as relief houseparents in St. Louis, Michigan with Baptist Children’s Home. They are now the houseparents for the Elkhart house.

Nathan received his Bachelor’s of Sciences degrees in both Criminal Justice and Counseling from Grace College in May of 2015.  He ended up working with children as a Life Skills Specialist in Crawfordsville and saw how desperately those children and their families needed the gospel. Nathan loves board games, video games, sports, and outdoor activities such as fishing, hiking, and disc golf. Nathan has greatly enjoyed getting to know the children in Michigan and is excited to begin building relationships in Elkhart.

Rebekah also graduated in May of 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Counseling and an Art minor. Prior to college, she had attended Huntington Beauty College and become a licensed Cosmetologist as well.  Rebekah had been working as a booth rent stylist in Crawfordsville prior to moving to Michigan. She enjoys music, art, and reading.  Most of all, Rebekah loves being a mother to two sweet little boys: Adam and James.

Adam was born in July of 2016, and has been on the move ever since. He can be quite theatrical at times with an infectious smile. He loves sports, being outside, making messes (I mean memories!), and Mickey Mouse! So far, he really seems to enjoy having older kids to play with and run around with. Most of all, he adores his little brother, James.

James was born in March of 2018 and has been rapidly growing (mostly sideways) since. He loves snacking, playing with toys, imitating his big brother, and Mickey Mouse as well. He seems to be quite ornery despite being so young, but loves snuggling up to his brother for naptime each day.

Our family would like to thank you for partnering with us as we begin this ministry. We are excited to begin training children that God brings to us in His grace and love. We hope to keep you updated about our home and God’s work within it so you may be uplifted and better understand how to pray for our household. Thanks!
