It is always about the people. On my trip to India, I met this young man Naga Raj. His father was an alcoholic known for causing trouble in their family’s village. The leaders of the village confronted Naga’s father about his behavior to try to restore peace.
The next day, his father went into the woods and committed suicide leaving one month old Naga Raj with his widowed mother. His father’s death caused her to become so upset that she became mentally unwell. She later died of malaria. His grandparents entrusted Naga Raj to our care when he was just 5 months old. He is now 8 years old, and I am so proud of the young man he is becoming. Your generous giving helps us care for Naga Raj and others in similar situations all over the world. Thank you!
