Meet Sam and Bekah Beals!

Hello! We are the Beals family- Samuel, Bekah, and Silas.

We have both enjoyed camp ministry and we met while serving together at a small camp in central Illinois.

After we were married in the summer of 2012 we moved back to South Carolina for Bekah to finish up her nursing degree while Samuel took a job in aluminum dye casting.

However, by the time she finished schooling it was clear that God had a different path besides nursing for her. We packed up and headed for Samuel’s hometown and lived close to family for about two years.  During this time Samuel took a job at a bus dealership while Bekah enjoyed some time as a housewife. We both really appreciated this time and it gave us the break we needed from our insanely busy schedules. It lended to much more time together and time to serve in our local church.

Samuel had grown up being familiar with the Children’s Home and this ministry had been on our hearts a lot seeing as God hadn’t blessed us with children of our own… yet.  We were thrilled to join the Children’s Home ministry in the early spring of 2015 as relief houseparents. We served in this capacity for a year and a half and then moved into a primary houseparent role late August of 2016.

Silas was born, on Samuel’s birthday, this past July and has been so much fun! Our kids have definitely claimed him as “their” little brother and seem to have a very genuine love for him.  Silas is growing and changing faster than we can keep up with him. He was small for his age while I was carrying him, but he has sure made up for it now - growing out of clothes almost before he can wear them!  He has a sweet personality and loves to play peek-a-boo, be tickled, play with his older siblings, and stare at light fixtures (even when they’re off!?!).

As a couple we love to do pretty much anything together - take walks, hike, camp, or play board games with friends.  Samuel also enjoys guitar and basketball (which our kids love). Bekah enjoys baking and making crafts for our home. We hope to enjoy many years of ministry at BCH and we look forward to seeing all that God has for us to learn along the way.

Thank you for joining our ministry journey!
