 India
In 1995 God opened the door for Baptist
Children's Home to
minister to needy boys and girls in India.
Abraham and Elsie Thomas from India
spent several months of training in the U.S. Upon
their return to India,
the first BCH
home in south India began. During the years
God has blessed this ministry. God has brought many of the children to salvation
with many also following in baptism. Under the direction of Abraham Thomas, there are now 16 homes
in five states caring for more than 300 children. Care is provided for
children impacted by HIV/AIDS and
children affected by the 2004 tsunami.
In Northeast India, BCH
partners with the New Testament Baptist Church Association (NTBCA) led by H. C.
Stephen. Hope Baptist Children's Home (boys) and
Esther Home (girls) were established. Currently, 135 children are in
care. Esther Home was the 2006 BCH VBS project. This
home also provides widow care and a bakery as a vocational training project.
In Hyderabad, BCH
partners with a fellowship of churches. Three (Joy, Hope and Love) homes
care for 43 children (Samuel Borra, Director).
Thank you for partnering with Baptist
Children's Home to minister to kids and to make a difference in their lives.
