Local Biker Group Fundraiser

The regional biker group from Moose Lodge/Abate Region 10, Saint Louis, MI held a fund raiser ride on Saturday, Oct 8th. About 50-60 bikers poured into the Maple Lodge driveway on the cold afternoon. They filled up our large driveway! 

The group home children were invited to sit on the bikes and had many photos with the riders. One biker was moved to tears and gave a necklace, a bandanna, and a watch to three of the children while the Beals talked about the ministry of Baptist Children’s Home.

The group returned on Saturday, Oct 15th. That morning, Wisdom (11) wore the bandanna he received the previous week from a biker and was excited to see the group return. About eight bikes, a car, and pickup truck rolled in at about 4pm bringing about 15 bikers and their families.

They donated a few hundred dollars of cereal, food, and other items along with a check for $707! The Beals invited the bikers in for cookies and a freshly brewed pot of coffee. The group met the staff and children, and then they took a tour of the home and gymnasium.

The group was very loving toward the children and they look forward to partnering with BCH for Christmas and future needs.
